University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is recruiting an Academic Pediatric Nephrologist to join our division of Pediatric Nephrology. We are seeking a candidate with strong clinical and teaching skills. Our division includes 3 physician faculty, an advanced practice provider, and ancillary support from dialysis nurses, transplant coordinators, social workers, psychologists, dieticians, quality improvement specialists, and specialized nurses. We perform renal replacement therapy in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, kidney transplantation, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, point of care ultrasonography, and provide compassionate care for a wide range of pediatric kidney diseases in the greater Cleveland area.

Our physician faculty are actively engaged in clinical research, basic and translational research, educational scholarship, quality improvement, and advocacy efforts locally, regionally, and nationally. We have active ACGME accredited, large pediatric residency program.
Duties will include:
- Providing inpatient and outpatient care
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Participating in clinical research and quality improvement projects or other academic pursuits based on the candidate’s interests.
A mentorship committee will be established to support academic development and promotion.
Academic appointment, rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification.
