Hanna House 3 non-telemetry unit consists of 20 patient rooms with ability to flex to 22. Seeing a lot of CHF, COPD, minor surgical procedure patients. Acute Medicine Unit (Hanna House 3)
Required For All Jobs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Experience and Knowledge:
- Meets qualification of 1-2 years clinical experience
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism and integrity.
- Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies
- PC and computer applications
Education:
· Associate in Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN) from accredited program required within 2 years of hire date.
Required Credentials, License, and/or Certifications:
· Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
- Certification in a specialty clinical area or leadership is required within 2 years of hire date
- BLS Required and ALS & PALS may be required based on area’s requirements
