Description
The CTICU at Elyria is a 14 bed ICU that takes any surgical and medical patient – specializing in post CABG and surgical patients. Nurses are trained on multiple specialty equipment such as Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, EKOS, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Target Temperature management, and External pacemakers. Common diagnosis include: surgical and bypass patients, Myocardial infarctions, Strokes, COPD exacerbations, sepsis, DKA, Afib, renal failure, respiratory failure, PE/DVT, cardiac/respiratory arrest and post PTCA. Position Requirements:
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
License & Certification Requirements:
An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
Note: Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN preferred
Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
