JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

Description

A Brief Overview

Responsible for ensuring critical inventory in the Cath and EP lab is maintained and is stocked at appropriate levels

What You Will Do

Maintains the appropriate level of critical inventory in the Cath and EP Lab, which includes analyzing data, making ordering decisions based upon usage and inventory value, validating orders and resolving discrepancies, and removing outdated supplies. Oversees the ordering and entering of Cath and EP Lab non-stock orders, as well as the tracking of consignment items. Assists clinicians to order new items.
Serves as main point of contact with designated service line managers in order to ensure timely and accurate information flow regarding shortages, outages, overstock, and other inventory problems and/or concerns.
Oversees the ordering, shipping, receiving, inventory and the distribution of supplies at Cleveland Medical Center for Cath & EP Labs
Ensures corporate supply chain is aware of any supplier related issues for CMC Cath & EP Labs
Establishes par distribution area policy/procedures according to industry regulations. Responsible for ensuring adherence to all JC, CMS & OSHA regulations.
Directly oversees 2 staff members, and is responsible for ensuring their work output is satisfactory and their concerns are resolved.
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with management, patients, co-workers and customers. Handles escalated customer service calls.
Collaborates with Value Analysis committees when reviewing products.
Execute local more complex process improvement initiatives and manage expectations of all parties (suppliers, hospital, etc.). Review all current processes, update, create and document to align with current Medtronic standard operating processes.
Run all daily, weekly and ad hoc report requests from business partners. Create and manage error logs, report and follow up on issues to suppliers and feedback information to hospital. Report KPIs and show trends and failures and act on these.
Support launch of new products via partnering with leadership and Sourcing

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

Education

High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
Some college (Preferred)

Work Experience

2+ years Of work experience using computers (Required) and
Customer service work experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency)
Knowledge of supply, inventory process in a hospital environment . (Preferred proficiency)
Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Excel and Word, and general office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) . (Required proficiency)
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. (Required proficiency)
Will be to learn and use Oracle I-Procurement and core Oracle applications (for requisitioning, inventory maintenance and related item information) on the job. (Required proficiency)
