Unit information
Lerner Tower 7 is a 30 bed telemetry unit with a primary focus on the care of vascular surgery and general neurology patients. As part of the Harrington Heart and Vascular Institute and Neurological Institute, Lerner Tower 7 is proud to be the designated unit caring for patients with vascular, cardiac and neurological diseases. All 30 of our beds are capable of providing continuous cardiac monitoring and nurses are trained to interpret and monitor the cardiac rhythms (telemetry). Some of the common patient diagnoses include post-carotid endarterectomy, post-carotid artery stenting, post-cardiac catheterization, chest pain, CHF, aneurysm, stroke, ALS and autonomic disorders.

Position Requirements
- Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
License & Certification Requirements
- An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
Note: Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
