JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

Description

What You Will Do

Provide intake evaluations and outpatient therapy services including intake evaluations, individuals, couples, family therapy, potential for group therapy within community at University Hospitals satellite offices. (60-70%)
Communicates/collaborates with the team using a multidisciplinary approach (5-10%)
Understands and follow policies and procedures regarding referrals to relevant hospital services – Intensive Outpatient Program, Inpatient, Electro-convulsive Therapy (5-10%)
Collaborates and consults with multidisciplinary team within the Mood Disorders Program (5-10%)
Maintain patient records in accordance with UH standards (10%)
Assist with organizational development and relationship management with relevant referral sources (5%)
Periodically participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings (5%)

Additional Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s Degree Of Arts in clinical/community counseling (Required)

Work Experience

Hospital/Health Agency experience (Preferred) and
1+ years Of experience as LPC, Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Familiarity with community support agency resources (Required proficiency)
Flexible schedule (Required proficiency)
Personal computer skills (Required proficiency)
Theoretical and clinical knowledge regarding health care delivery (Required proficiency)
Multi-tasks and prioritizes work (Required proficiency)
Works autonomously (Required proficiency)
Communicates effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Ohio (Required)
