The Transplant Coordinator role within the University Hospitals Transplant Institute offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly influences individuals throughout their transplant journey.
We currently offer opportunities for Transplant Coordinators to support various transplant teams, including those specializing in liver, kidney-pancreas, and post-kidney procedures.

What you will do
- Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers, referring physicians, and /or clinics, payers, and supporting transplant staff.
- Works together as an integrated team and maintains positive relationships.
- Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
- Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
- Maintains knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients in all phases of the transplant process occurring in both the in-patient and out-patient setting.
Qualifications
Education Qualifications
- Diploma RN or (ADN) Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. BSN preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 1+ years of nursing experience required.
- Transplant experience preferred and
- Experience managing the care of patients with end-stage organ disease preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills (Required proficiency)

- Electronic Medical Records (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire required and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within orientation.
