Lakeside 55 is a 20 bed non-telemetry floor that has a primary focus of gastrointestinal and pulmonary health. The levels of experience on the division vary which make for a great learning environment as there are nurses and nursing assistants with twenty plus years of experience down to new graduates. Because of the small size of the unit and years of experience our staff have, Lakeside 55 has developed a reputation as being a supportive, fun, and family-like unit. Digestive & Pulmonary Health (Lakeside 55)
Required For All Jobs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
1 year of RN experience required
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
License Requirements:
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
