Clinical Dieticians
Our Clinical Dietitians provide expertise to the care team on Medical Nutrition Therapy and lead the nutrition care process for diverse patient populations. They possess strong skills in critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and working collaboratively to assess patient conditions and provide appropriate interventions. As an active member of the healthcare team, they are able to provide the patient with optimal nutrition care through evidence based practice. You will be able to accomplish this daily through talented colleagues and the resources of a leading healthcare network.
Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
There are multiple avenues for you to impact patient care in the laboratory field. For those that enjoy direct patient care, consider working as a phlebotomist in either a hospital or outpatient setting. For those that enjoy the science behind the samples and assisting physicians behind the scenes, consider one of the many lab environments UH has to offer. Many laboratory professionals enjoy working in the generalist role or others enjoy specializing. Some of these specialty labs include: histology, HLA, blood bank, microbiology, flow cytometry, mass spectroscopy, cytology, genetics and molecular. Our highly trained lab professionals take pride in the quality and quantity of testing they perform within the guidelines of our fully accredited CAP and CLIA laboratories. Members of our team are proficient in multiple areas and we encourage our employee’s development to expand their basis of knowledge and grow through our tuition reimbursement program to pursue additional education or our internal lab career ladder.
Pharmacy
Pharmacy is an integral part of our overall patient care success. Our pharmacists serve in a variety of capacities, including order verification, patient consultation, medical team partnering, providing evidence based education and thrive as a central knowledge resource for all medication-related issues. Our pharmacy techs provide essential support to our pharmacists; screening nursing calls, preparing labels and medication.
Radiology
We invite you to work with our highly-trained radiology staff who are among the best and brightest in the field. We have a strong team oriented environment in which radiology and the entire patient care team work closely together to assist physicians in the complete diagnosis plan for our patients. University Hospitals utilizes cutting edge imaging technology to work in diagnostic X-ray, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine. We also have special procedure technologist and individuals that work in multiple modalities at some of our locations. Our technologist have a variety of settings to utilize their skill set in, including hospital and ambulatory. Members of our team are proficient in multiple areas. We encourage our employees to further develop and expand their knowledge of the field. We offer reimbursement when additional certifications are obtained and promotional opportunities through our internal radiology career ladder.
Rehabilitation Services

At University Hospitals we see a variety of complex patient diagnoses through some of our specialized services in pediatrics, aquatics, sports medicine, hand therapy and more. Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapists at University Hospitals are dedicated health care professionals who specialize in caring for patients with cardiopulmonary ailments. From newborns to the geriatric population, our respiratory care professionals provide expert care with the utmost respect for each patient and their family members. University Hospitals recognizes the importance of respiratory therapists and provides opportunities for advancement through a robust clinical ladder. Many of our respiratory therapists hold advanced certifications, such as ACCS, NPS, RPFT, SDS, and the AE-C. These professionals also work in a variety of focused settings, such as emergency and critical care, neonatal/pediatric care, pulmonary function laboratories, sleep laboratories, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, as well as functioning as clinical navigators for patients with lung disease.
