Every day, for more than 150 years, the physicians of University Hospitals have renewed a promise to meeting our patients’ health care needs. Our talented team is integral to our rich history of success and critical to our future in a dynamic environment. As stewards of the UH legacy for excellence in patient care, our physicians are guided by an unwavering commitment to our mission:

As a system, University Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology delivers approximately 8,000 patients a year at five different labor and delivery units across the Cleveland area. Delivery hospitals include our main referral center at MacDonald Women’s Hospital as well as units at St. John’s, Ahuja, Geauga, and Tripoint Medical Centers. Several additional sites, including UH Parma Hospital, UH Portage Hospital, and UH Samaritan Hospital provide GYN surgical services. The system is fully integrated with all the major specialties, with 24/7 MFM and Gyn Onc backup being available.
The Department is seeking a physician for Northeast Ohio Ob/Gyn. Consisting of 5 physicians, 2 midwives and 2 nurse practitioners, the practice offers 5 office locations with the potential to expand. Physicians enjoy practicing the full spectrum of Ob/Gyn (including in-office procedures) and perform gynecologic procedures at a 5-star rated, 300 bed hospital. Deliveries occur at a brand new Level-II Labor and Delivery facility (Ahuja Medical Center) where call includes a limited number of 12-hour shifts. The practice offers an excellent work-life balance with flexibility in scheduling and a supportive culture.
UH Portage Medical Center’s medical staff consists of nearly 400 physicians in over 40 medical specialties. UH Portage Medical Center is recognized as one of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio by the Employers Resource Council and has been re-designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The practice is located in Northeast Ohio, approximately 50 minutes from Cleveland, 20 minutes from Akron, and 2 hours from Columbus. This area is known for its low cost of living with the opportunity for historic downtown living, suburban neighborhoods, or rural homes for your hobby farm. There is an excellent education system including multiple universities and medical schools, with many nearby museums to explore. Multi Modality
I like nightshift because the smaller staff helps me build connections and friendships with the staff around me. Helping us to better communicate without any issues, including doctors. I can work independently, keeping my thinking skills sharp. Even when it is quiet, it is never boring.
