Job Description & Qualifications
The Revenue Cycle Automation Technical Analyst supports the design, implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement of automation and technology-enabled solutions across revenue cycle operations. This role combines operational analysis, workflow design, data analysis, and technology expertise to identify opportunities for automation and translate business needs into effective solutions.The Analyst works closely with Revenue Cycle Automation Leads, operational stakeholders, Information Technology, analytics teams, and technology partners to support initiatives from discovery and requirements development through testing, implementation, measurement, and optimization.
What You Will Do
- Analyze revenue cycle workflows, performance data, and technology utilization to identify automation, standardization, and optimization opportunities.
- Conduct current-state assessments and develop future-state workflows incorporating automation, AI, analytics, and existing technology capabilities.
- Gather, document, and translate operational requirements into clear functional and technology requirements.
- Support design, configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of technology-enabled solutions.
- Analyze operational and financial data to establish baselines, identify root causes, quantify opportunities, and measure results.
- Develop dashboards, reports, analyses, and other tools to monitor initiative performance and benefit realization.
- Partner with operational leaders, informaticists, technology teams, vendors, and subject matter experts throughout implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve utilization of existing Epic functionality and other enterprise technology before introducing additional solutions.
- Support evaluation and implementation of artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, analytics, workflow technologies, and other emerging capabilities.
- Develop process documentation, requirements, test scripts, standard operating procedures, training materials, and implementation tools.
- Support project management activities including work plans, issue tracking, risk identification, status reporting, and implementation readiness.
- Apply structured problem-solving and process-improvement methodologies to complex operational challenges.

- Bachelor’s Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. (Required)
Work Experience
- 3+ years healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare technology, analytics, consulting, process improvement, or related fields. (Required)
- Current Epic Certification in a revenue cycle application (Required)
- Experience analyzing complex business processes, data, and technology-enabled workflows. (Required)
- Experience supporting technology implementations, optimization initiatives, or operational improvement projects. (Required)
- Experience in a large health system or complex healthcare environment preferred. (Required)
- Epic revenue cycle, automation, AI, analytics, or healthcare information technology experience preferred. (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations and associated workflows and performance measures. (Required proficiency)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, process-mapping, and problem-solving capabilities. (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of healthcare technology, workflow automation, analytics, AI, and emerging technologies. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to translate operational needs into structured requirements and technology-enabled solutions. (Required proficiency)
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, and project-management skills. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across operational and technology teams. (Required proficiency)
