A Brief Overview
Working closely with the marketing and creative team, the Multimedia Specialist supports the creation of compelling photo and video content that aligns with University Hospitals’ brand standards. This role applies multimedia production skills and knowledge of current best practices to assist in planning, capturing and editing content for use across print and digital marketing channels.
What You Will Do
- Captures photo and video content, including operating cameras, lighting and audio equipment that results in content that meets brand standards.
- Develops finished creative assets for use across multiple channels incorporating team feedback, best practices and brand guidelines
- Collaborates closely with the marketing and creative teams to assist in planning and executing multimedia projects from concept to final delivery across print, broadcast, social and other digital platforms. Contributes ideas and concepts aligned with campaign or project objectives.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once, sometimes with tight timelines, to meet established deadlines.
- Remains abreast of advances in the field, including creative trends, tactics and technology.
- Maintains multimedia equipment, ensuring quality, functionality and readiness for production use. Supports in decision-making for new equipment as needed.
- Adheres to departmental policy and procedure regarding the organized retention of multimedia files. Organizes all digital assets into established repositories per department standard.
- Maintains professionalism and privacy as required of a health care organization such as appropriate management of PHI and consent documentation.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Potential weekend work occasionally & travel to UH locations for productions required
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Required)
Experience Qualifications
- 3+ years Photography (Required)
- 3+ years Videography (Required)
- Experience in multimedia editing. (Required)
Skills and Abilities
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to problem solve. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to function independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment required. (Required proficiency)
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills to explain rationale and present ideas. (Required proficiency)
- Proficient in industry-standard multimedia software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom). (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge in using technical audio, video and photo equipment, such as microphones, cameras and lighting equipment. (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of drone usage preferred. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated ability to use Macs and general office equipment. (Required proficiency)
