A Brief Overview
The Urology Institute (UI) has a Research Associate (RA) position within the Division of Pediatric Urology. The
RA will carry out complex research assignments focused on urological conditions, contribute to and execute
designed experiments for assigned projects and participate in the development and implementation of new
and/or revised research methodologies and techniques.
What You Will Do
• Responsibilities include overseeing study and regulatory operations including startup, maintenance and
closeout for multiple multi-center, international clinical research studies, protocol compliance, regulatory
binders and documentation, imaging manuals/ grading manuals, quality control, and data monitoring
and reporting.
• Provides support and database maintenance for ongoing research programs in database reviews and
developing reports and tables documenting study status.
• Facilitate query resolution related to both certification and study image submissions.
• Provide support to the Directors, the clinical research project specialist and the Program coordinators.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate research data.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts, articles, abstracts, and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed
journals.
• Conduct critical analysis of research literature related to research being investigated.

- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating multiple projects and or process improvements. (Required) and
• 2+ years Experience with clinical research, clinical trials and/or familiarity with the academic medical
setting (Preferred) and
• Project management experience or experience managing multiple priorities (Preferred)
• Effective oral and writing communication skills (Required proficiency)
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse group of researchers (Required
proficiency)
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use multiple software programs, including database programs,
are. (Required proficiency)
• A background in urology medicine and/or urology research (Preferred proficiency)
• Publications in peer reviewed journals (2-3 publications) (Preferred proficiency)
