The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor role within the University Hospitals W.O. Walker Building offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with various mental health issues.

What You Will Do
-
Provides psychosocial assessment / intervention to assist patients/families (Including clinically complex).
Communicates/collaborates with the work team using a multidisciplinary approach. -
Understands and follow policies and procedures regarding referrals to relevant hospital services – Intensive Outpatient Program, Inpatient, Electro-convulsive Therapy

Collaborates and consults with multidisciplinary team within the Mood Disorders Program

Maintain patient records in accordance with UH standards

Assist with organizational development and relationship management with relevant referral sources

Periodically participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings
Additional Responsibilities
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
• Master’s Degree from accredited school of Counseling (Required)
Work Experience
-
Hospital/Health Agency experience. (Preferred)
-
3+ years experience as an LPCC (Required)

Licenses and Certifications
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) (Required)
• LPCC-S (Preferred within 1 Year)
Preferred Experience/Required Qualifications
Must have an Ohio LPCC licensure. This outpatient position will see patients that have mental health issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia/schizoaffective, etc. The counselor will carry an individual caseload, create treatment plans, provide individual counseling sessions, provide resources, and complete timely documentation. Familiarity with CBT and DBT is a plus. The ideal candidate will have an interest in adolescents in order to supervise program leads. The schedule 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Willingness to work 1-2 evenings per week is preferred.
