Job Description & Qualifications
Hours: 12:00 – 8:30pm
A Brief Overview
Distribution Tech/Delivery Driver, transports medications and medical supplies to patients in their homes as well as to hospitals and businesses.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for managing your inventory, including taking accurate counts of products, maintaining a log of deliveries and keeping products in good condition. You may also collect payments, put together orders based on delivery tickets and organize tickets and products according to location.
- Responsible for maintaining vehicle and making sure it is good general condition.
- Responsible for maintaining overall inventory, and picking up and replenishing supplies, at assigned home care work areas.
- Responsible for keeping supply areas neat and orderly in order to permit the accurate counting of supplies and responsible for maintaining communications with designated Pharmacy/Pharmacy Tech and Intake Departments in order to ensure timely and accurate information regarding Delivery Tickets, medicine and filling of orders.
- Responsible for Assist/support Dispatcher- function as back up Dispatcher, Pack Medication/Supply orders, Prepare orders to be shipped via Fedex, Clean medical equipment, Calibrate and inventory Ambulatory Pumps, Replace paper stock in all departments, Draw patient supply orders, Take delivered packages /mail to various departments, Stock and keep medical supply bins full, Clean/sweep warehouse, Remove trash/break down empty boxes, Assist with lifting and moving office furniture including conference room setup, apply salt to Warehouse steps.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient oral and written communication skills (Required proficiency)
- Clean driving record/proof of Insurance (Required proficiency)
- Customer service skills (Required proficiency)
- Ability to pick up heavy packages (Required proficiency)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated ability to use PCs and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) (Required proficiency)
