What can I do as a NAII?
NA IIs work under the direction of an RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. Responsibilities include:
Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to:
ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints
Communication and documentation of interventions and observations
Participation in quality improvement process
Involved in learning and self-improvement
Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers – why UH

Education Requirements
Enrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor’s degree of Nursing from an accredited program
Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required
Most up-to-date transcripts should be uploaded with application

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
