JOB DESCRIPTION

Description

Performs clerical duties associated with the practice of pharmacy, including pricing, cashiering, drug purchasing, delivering, scheduling deliveries, answering non-professional telephone inquiries, transportation of dispensed medications within a hospital, documenting and processing third-party billing information for reimbursement, or any other activity as determined by the Operations Coordinator.
Retrieve information from patient records, including a database or patient profile to perform clerical duties associated with the practice of pharmacy.
Entering demographic and insurance information into a patient profile.
Sorting and unpacking of non-controlled substance dangerous drugs for stocking.
Stocking non-controlled substance dangerous drugs.
Processing inventory returns of non-controlled substance dangerous drugs that have not been dispensed by a pharmacist.
Segregating and sorting drugs that will be returned to stock.
Conducting non-controlled substance dangerous drug inventory, including drug inventory counts.
Placing medication dispensed by a pharmacist (i.e., verified by the pharmacist) into shipping containers or packaging for delivery or sale if all the following are met.
Prepare for placement in OSBP accepted in house technician development program, potentially learning and performing all tasks and duties encompassed in the responsibilities of a registered pharmacy technician.
