JOB DESCRIPTION

Description

Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers, referring physicians, and/or clinics, payers, and supporting transplant staff as well as vendor/client relationship management. Works together as an integrated team and maintains positive relationships. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values. Plans and manages all Transplant-related clinical systems projects. Performs ongoing Transplant workflow analysis and clinical systems adaptation. Develops, monitors and enforces adherence to Transplant data quality standards. Develops, tests and implements all Transplant-related application customization and custom reports. Provides Transplant operating environment support. Provides Transplant systems internal and external interface support. Serves as primary liaison between Transplant department and IT&S. Analyzes clinical and operational data, develops summary reports / recommendations, control charts / graphs, trends outcomes, identifies opportunities for improvement, collaborates with team members, and supports recommendations with data and judgment. 5 Years in a position that has the same or similar duties working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting. Clinical workflow analysis with technology-driven process improvement. Software design, customization, programming, and change control tracking. Software testing and production release methodology. CQI fundamentals with relation to clinical data reporting. Workflow practices for core clinical systems such as Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Admitting/Registration. Use and maintenance of the MPI (Master Patient Index). Data conversion strategies. Clinical application users workgroup facilitation. Training materials development and course instruction. Internal and external healthcare regulation and compliance standards (e.g. DNV, CMS, UNET, HIPAA, SRTR, ODH, OSOTC, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree Minimum 5 years of clinical workflow and/or IT experience required.
