Thanks for your interest in our Step Into Scrubs Event at UH Ahuja Medical Center located at 3999 Richmond Rd in Beachwood, Ohio.

Please complete the registration information below in order to schedule your experience. Your time will start with a tour of the unit(s) you desire to see, followed by a one hour shadow with a nurse. We will be reaching out via email and/or text with confirmations and further event details.

1. 4^th Floor SDU: Stepdown Unit.
   1. 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. Cardiac procedure heavy – caths, pacemakers, VATS, connected to our ICU so opportunity to cross train and work with the ICU team
2. 5^th Floor M/S/T: Acute Care Telemetry
   1. Med/Surg/Tele, 36 Beds, all private rooms, cohort our hospitalist patients on this unit, fast paced environment
3. 6^th Floor M/S/T: Acute Care Telemetry
   1. Med/Surg/Tele, 36 beds, all private rooms, cohort our neurology patients on this unit, dedicated stroke coordinator, fast paced environment
4. 7^th Floor M/S/T: Acute Care Telemetry
   1. Med/Surg/Tele. 36 beds, all private rooms, High surgical volume ortho, spine, joint, colorectal, gyn, urology. They have a dedicated ortho and spine coordinator, fast paced environment
5. Observation Unit:
   1. 22 bed unit. Goal is to have patients discharged within 24 hours. Fast paced environment; work closely with providers as they are stationed in the unit.
6. Emergency Department:
   1. 43 Bed Emergency department with an average daily census of 160-180 patients per day. ER has a split flow called the Fast Track. There are 4 behavioral health swing rooms, and 2 resuscitation bays. Ratios are 1:4-5 (you take 4 rooms and a hall bed when needed). Work closely with providers – APPs, Attendings, Residents.
